Google, Microsoft, Yahoo! and Chart Junk

Sven-S. Porst’s Quarter Life Crisis is my favorite grumpy man blog on the internet[^1]. His latest post slams useless data & chart junk via an example of bad advertising and a lovely rant about the irrelevancy of a Microsoft+Yahoo! merger. He makes a valid point about Google consuming less bandwidth while delivering significantly more traffic to his website than Microsoft and Yahoo! combined (who happen to consume a lot of bandwidth when crawling).

[^1]: I hope he takes that as a complement.
