Edward Tufte’s narrated walkthrough of key concepts of the iPhone user interface has been widely linked (so widely linked it had to be moved to its own hosting to deal with the bandwidth) and I can’t add much to his core theory of “adding clarity through detail”. That said, he’s one of the few people in the world who could coin and use the term “chartoon” and not sound like a complete loon.
